We are excited to announce the celebration of the 12th Anniversary of our partnership with BMW of North America, Inc., and The Ultimate Drive® program, in 2008. The Ultimate Drive® is a nationwide campaign where participants are invited to test-drive
a new BMW at local BMW dealership events. For every mile driven, BMW of North America will contribute $1 to the Komen Foundation on behalf of the driver. The program consists of an Eastern and Western fleet of BMW's each headed by a lead Signature Car. During the event, local heroes are recognized for achievements and commitment to the fight against breast cancer and embody the core message of BMW-The Ultimate Drive®. Through their experience as breast cancer survivors, they have learned the importance of breast cancer awareness, early detection and education. In the Pink® September 9, 2008
Please join us in presenting the In The Pink luncheon on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the Amarillo Civic Center Heritage Room. This year’s theme, “We Will”, demonstrates our continued commitment to eradicate breast cancer. Susan G. Komen for the Cure was founded on one sister’s promise to do everything she could to end breast cancer. We Will support that promise by empowering people, ensuring quality of care for all and energizing science to find the cures. We will continue the promise as we introduce our 2008 Honorary Race for the Cure Co-chairmen, Sandra Gilliland and Robin Weir, as well as the Race for the Cure Co-chairmen, Lizzie Mason and Amy-Beth Morrison. The 2008 In The Pink Co-chairs are Marci Hand and Molly Vermillion.
The keynote speaker for the luncheon is Dwight Randle, Ph. D., Senior Scientific Research Advisor for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. He is responsible for providing insight into research trends and developments in breast cancer research which in turn support the organization’s promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever.For ticket information, please call the Susan G.
