We invite you to join us in the fight against breast cancer by participating in Pink Sunday on, October 9, 2011.
Register as the Pink Sunday Ambassador for your place of worship today!
Pink Sunday is a free, grassroots effort with local synagogues, churches, and mosques to educate their respective members on breast health and breast cancer. This event allows your place of worship to educate its membership about the importance of early detection. Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to saving lives by empowering people. The vision of Pink Sunday is to empower our community through breast health education. It is an opportunity to celebrate survivors, as well as honor those who have lost their battle. The Greater Amarillo Affiliate will provide a sample bulletin announcement, list of programming ideas, and breast health information to each participating religious organization. Komen Amarillo will provide technical assistance upon request, but each organization is responsible for coordinating their respective activities for October 9th (or an alternate date of your choice). We ask each group to tailor the event to suit the needs of their membership.
